Unverified developers on Apple systems
Installation Notice
When installing the AeroNyx client on your Mac, you may encounter a security warning. This is normal because:
The app is distributed directly through AeroNyx rather than the App Store
macOS requires apps to be notarized by Apple for security purposes
Your Mac's default security settings protect you from unverified applications
How to Resolve
Method 1: First Launch
Locate the AeroNyx client in your Applications folder
Right-click (or Control-click) on the app
Select "Open" from the menu
Click "Open" in the security dialog that appears
Method 2: Security Settings
If Method 1 doesn't work, follow these steps:
Open System Settings (or System Preferences)
Go to Privacy & Security
Scroll to Security
Look for the message about AeroNyx being blocked
Click "Open Anyway" to allow the app to run
Additional Help
For detailed instructions with screenshots, visit Apple's official guide: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/open-a-mac-app-from-an-unidentified-developer-mh40616/mac
This is a one-time process - you won't need to repeat these steps for future launches
Why This Happens
Apple implements these security measures to protect users from potentially harmful software
Since AeroNyx distributes its client directly to maintain control over updates and features, you'll need to manually approve the app
This doesn't affect the app's functionality or security - it's simply Apple's standard procedure for non-App Store applications
