AeroNyx Copyright and Trademark Policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026

AeroNyx is a Wyoming, United States-based company building an open privacy protocol and product ecosystem. This Copyright and Trademark Policy explains how AeroNyx handles intellectual property concerns involving AeroNyx-operated websites, applications, documentation, APIs, Nodeboard, support channels, developer tools, public community surfaces, and other AeroNyx-operated services.

This policy does not change AeroNyx's privacy architecture. AeroNyx cannot decrypt or access user content protected by end-to-end encryption, node-blind storage, user-held keys, private keys, seed phrases, or other user-controlled decryption material that AeroNyx never receives.

1. Scope

This policy applies to intellectual property issues involving:

  • AeroNyx-operated websites, documentation, applications, APIs, Nodeboard, support channels, and developer tools
  • public content submitted to AeroNyx-operated surfaces
  • content, links, metadata, or files that AeroNyx can lawfully access and identify
  • AeroNyx names, logos, product names, documentation, design elements, and trademarks

AeroNyx is an open protocol. Anyone may run compatible protocol nodes, subject to applicable law, technical compatibility, security requirements, hosting rules, and their own infrastructure responsibilities. Independent protocol nodes and third-party services may have their own intellectual property policies, logs, retention practices, and legal obligations.

2. No-Decrypt Boundary

AeroNyx cannot review, remove, or disable access to material it cannot identify, access, control, or decrypt.

For example, AeroNyx generally cannot inspect end-to-end encrypted message plaintext, node-blind MemChain plaintext, packet payloads, user-held private keys, seed phrases, wallet secrets, or encrypted objects for which AeroNyx does not possess decryption material.

If you submit an intellectual property complaint, provide enough non-secret information for AeroNyx to locate the allegedly infringing material on an AeroNyx-operated surface. Do not send private keys, seed phrases, user-held decryption material, or unnecessary sensitive content.

If you believe material available through an AeroNyx-operated service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to hi@aeronyx.network with the subject line Copyright Notice.

Your notice should include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner
  2. identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved
  3. identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for AeroNyx to locate it
  4. your contact information, including name, email address, and, if available, address and phone number
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner

AeroNyx may reject incomplete notices, request more information, remove or disable access to material AeroNyx controls, forward the notice to the user or operator involved, preserve relevant records, or take other action consistent with applicable law and AeroNyx policies.

4. Counter Notices

If AeroNyx removes or disables access to material you submitted because of a copyright complaint, you may send a written counter notice to hi@aeronyx.network with the subject line Copyright Counter Notice.

Your counter notice should include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature
  2. identification of the material removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal or disabling
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification
  4. your name, address, phone number, and email address
  5. a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court for your address, or if outside the United States, an appropriate United States court, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent

AeroNyx may forward a counter notice to the original complaining party and may restore material when appropriate under applicable law and policy.

5. Repeat Infringers

AeroNyx may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts, access, public content, node visibility, developer access, or other AeroNyx-operated service access for users or operators who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights or repeatedly submit infringing material.

Because AeroNyx cannot decrypt user-key-protected content it was not designed to read, repeat-infringer review is based on information AeroNyx can lawfully access, such as public content, reports, service records, notices, counter notices, node metadata, support records, and legal process.

6. Trademark and Brand Use

AeroNyx names, logos, marks, product names, documentation branding, and design elements may not be used in a way that falsely suggests affiliation, endorsement, certification, sponsorship, or official status.

You may refer to AeroNyx truthfully to describe compatibility, integration, node operation, research, commentary, or community participation, provided that your use is not misleading and does not imply that AeroNyx approved, certified, endorsed, supervised, or took responsibility for your product, node, service, publication, or organization.

Node operators, developers, exchanges, researchers, media, and community members must not:

  • impersonate AeroNyx
  • use AeroNyx marks in phishing, scams, malware, fake support, or misleading promotions
  • claim official certification without written permission
  • use AeroNyx branding in a way that confuses users about who operates a node, app, website, or service
  • remove, obscure, or alter AeroNyx copyright, license, attribution, or security notices

7. Open-Source Software and Documentation

Open-source components are licensed under their respective open-source licenses. Nothing in this policy limits rights granted under an applicable open-source license.

Unless a separate license says otherwise, AeroNyx websites, documentation, design, copy, logos, product names, and non-code content remain protected by intellectual property laws.

If you contribute code, documentation, feedback, bug reports, translations, design suggestions, or other materials to AeroNyx, those contributions may be handled under the applicable repository license, contribution terms, pull request terms, or written agreement.

8. False or Abusive Notices

Do not submit false, misleading, abusive, automated, or bad-faith notices. Misrepresenting infringement or ownership may create legal liability and may violate the AeroNyx Acceptable Use Policy.

AeroNyx may reject notices that appear fraudulent, abusive, incomplete, overbroad, unrelated to AeroNyx-operated services, or impossible to evaluate because they do not identify material AeroNyx can locate or control.
